Day of Remembrance for Victims of Pogroms in Sumgait, Baku and Kirovabad

For February 26-29, 1998 the peak of riots, beatings and murder of Armenians in Sumgait had. In memory of these events on February 28 at the state level proclaimed Day of memory of the Armenians who were lost as a result of the Azerbaijani riots, and also day of protection of the rights of displaced persons from Azerbaijan.
