Who is Garegin II
Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II (secular name — Karen Napetian) was born on August 21, 1951, in Armenia. He received theological education at the Echmiadzin Seminary and the Leningrad Theological Academy. In 1999, after the death of Catholicos Garegin I, he was elected the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The enthronement of Garegin II took place on October 27, 1999, at the Holy See of Echmiadzin — the spiritual center of all Armenians.
