On March 28, 1919 the office of investigation and counterintelligence which became the first body of intelligence service of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was created. Since 1997 this day the professional holiday is celebrated by all employees and the staff of bodies of national security of the Azerbaijan Republic.
