World Hunger Day is observed annually on May 28. It was established in 2011 by the international organization The Hunger Project to raise awareness about chronic hunger and food security, as well as to promote sustainable solutions to eliminate it.

Goals and Objectives
The main goal of this day is to highlight the need for a comprehensive approach to the fight against hunger, which includes:

* sustainable agriculture;
* education and awareness;
* improved healthcare;
* economic development and equality.

Special attention is given to supporting women and young people in rural communities, as they play a key role in ensuring food security.

Causes of Global Hunger
Among the main factors contributing to food insecurity are:

* conflicts and wars;
* climate change;
* economic crises and poverty;
* lack of investment in agriculture and infrastructure.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), more than 780 million people worldwide suffer from chronic hunger.

How to Participate
Everyone can contribute to the fight against hunger:

* support local farmers and sustainable agriculture;
* participate in volunteer programs and charity events;
* spread information about the hunger issue through social media and educational activities;
