World Amateur Radio Day (or International Amateur Radio Day) is celebrated annually on April 18. The day marks the anniversary of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union in 1925. Radio amateurs around the world come together on this day to celebrate their hobby, which spans communications, technology, and science, and plays an important role in society.

Contributions of Amateur Radio
