In Belarus, the Day of the National Emblem and the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May. This holiday is dedicated to the two most important state symbols of the country, which reflect its sovereignty, independence and cultural heritage.

The National Emblem of the Republic of Belarus is an image of a green outline of the country superimposed on the sun's rays emanating from the globe. Around the composition are ears of corn intertwined with a red and green ribbon, symbolizing the flag of Belarus. At the top of the coat of arms is a red star, which is interpreted as a symbol of peace, progress and a bright future.
