Babiy Den was a time when they were honored and thanked for their work. This day was also a symbolic holiday for all women, especially those involved in childbirth, and their honoring became an important part of the folk tradition.

Hospitality and Treats. On Babiy Den, it was customary to visit the midwife with gifts and treats. They brought her food, sweets, linen, fabric, which she could use for home or work. In response, the grandmother would throw a feast for the women who came to congratulate her.
Rituals and rituals. In some regions, there were rituals that were intended to ensure the health of children and women. Women prayed together, participated in cleansing rituals that were supposed to ensure the well-being of families.
Women's meetings. Women's Day was also a day of women's solidarity, when women gathered together, discussed their affairs, shared experiences and knowledge related to childbirth and raising children.
