National Heroes and Philanthropists Day, also known as Baron Bliss Day, is celebrated in Belize on March 9. This day is dedicated to the memory and respect of people who have made a significant impact on the country, both national heroes and philanthropists, including one of Belize's most famous philanthropists, Baron Bliss.

Main Events
The holiday includes several events aimed at recognizing and respecting those who have played an important role in the development and prosperity of Belize:

Ceremonies and Flower Layings. On this day, ceremonies are held, including flower laying ceremonies at monuments of national heroes and philanthropists.

Festive Parades and Concerts. Belize hosts parades where locals and visitors to the country can enjoy various cultural events and exhibitions dedicated to historical figures and heroes.
