African World Heritage Day

African World Heritage Day is celebrated annually on 5 May and is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the cultural and natural heritage of the African continent. This day was established under the auspices of UNESCO to draw attention to the unique heritage of Africa and the need to protect it.
