International Scoliosis Day is observed annually on June 25. The day aims to raise awareness of scoliosis, a condition in which the spine curves into an "S" or "C" shape. Although scoliosis can affect people of any age, it is most often diagnosed in children and adolescents during periods of rapid growth, such as adolescence.

Objectives of International Scoliosis Day
Awareness. To draw attention to the importance of early detection of scoliosis. The earlier the disease is diagnosed, the greater the chance of preventing its progression.
Support for patients and families. To provide informational and moral support to people with scoliosis and their families. Seminars, consultations and public events are often organized on this day.
Raising funds for research. Many charities use this day to draw attention to the need for financial support for scientific research aimed at improving treatment methods.

International Events
World Scoliosis Day is marked by a number of initiatives, including:

Educational campaigns. Online and offline events where experts talk about methods of diagnosing, preventing and treating scoliosis.
Charity events. Fundraising to support patients and conduct scientific research.
Social media campaigns. Organizations working with scoliosis issues use social media to spread information and support patients.
