Biologist's Day in Colombia is celebrated on April 25th. This holiday was established in honor of the birth of the great Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus, who created the modern system of scientific classification of organisms. Biologist's Day in Brazil is celebrated on September 3rd. This holiday was established in 1979 and recognizes the important role of biologists in studying and protecting nature, as well as in developing biomedical sciences.
