The Festival of Legends of Vallenato is one of the most famous music festivals in Colombia, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of traditional vallenato music. It is held annually in the city of Valledupar, located in the northeast of the country, and attracts thousands of fans, musicians and tourists from all over the world.

Vallenato is a traditional musical genre of Colombia, included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. Its roots lie in the mixture of African, Indian and European musical traditions.
