International Purple Hijab Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of February and aims to raise awareness of the right of Muslim women to wear the hijab, as well as to support women who face discrimination and prejudice because of their religious affiliation. The day also aims to combat prejudices and stereotypes about Muslim women who wear the hijab, and to promote tolerance and respect for differences.

Objectives of International Purple Hijab Day
Raising awareness. The main objective of the day is to inform the public about the rights of Muslim women to wear the hijab and the prejudices they face.

Empowering women. The day provides an opportunity to support women who choose to wear the hijab, as well as those who face discrimination because of their religious affiliation.

Promoting dialogue. International Purple Hijab Day aims to create a dialogue about diversity and inclusion, and the importance of respecting different cultural and religious traditions.

Challenging Stereotypes: The day also aims to challenge stereotypes about Muslim women and show that the hijab can be a part of fashion and self-expression.

How is International Purple Hijab Day celebrated
Wearing the purple hijab: Women and men who support the day can wear a purple hijab or clothing to show their solidarity.

Educational events: Workshops, lectures, and discussions are held in various countries about women's rights, Islam, and the role of the hijab in the lives of Muslim women.

Social Media: People actively use social media to share photos and stories about wearing the hijab, as well as their experiences of fighting bias.
