Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in Germany, held in Munich. It is considered one of the most famous beer festivals in the world and attracts millions of visitors each year.

History
Beginning. Oktoberfest was first held in 1810 in honor of the wedding of the heir to the Bavarian throne, Ludwig (later King Ludwig I), and Princess Therese. The festival was organized as a fair where locals could enjoy music, dancing, and refreshments.
Gradual Development: Over time, the festival began to attract more and more people, and various attractions and entertainments were added. Today, Oktoberfest lasts for 16 to 18 days, starting in late September and ending on the first weekend of October.

Venue
Area. The festival takes place in large grounds known as Theresienwiese, where enormous tents, attractions, and vendor stalls are set up.
Tents. Oktoberfest features 14 large and 20 small beer tents, offering a variety of Bavarian beers as well as traditional dishes such as pretzels, sausages, schnitzels, and other treats.

Atmosphere
Culture. Oktoberfest is not just a beer festival; it is a true cultural tradition. Many participants dress in traditional Bavarian attire, such as lederhosen for men and dirndls for women.
Entertainment. In addition to beer, the festival features various musical performances, dances, competitions, and attractions. There are carousels, a Ferris wheel, and other family-friendly entertainment.

Oktoberfest is not only a celebration but also an opportunity to immerse oneself in Bavarian culture, try local dishes, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
