Equality Day in Finland is celebrated on March 19 and is dedicated to promoting equality between men and women, as well as the fight for equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their gender, age, ethnicity or other differences.

History and significance
Equality Day was established to commemorate the adoption of a law in Finland in 1906 that gave women the right to vote, making Finland one of the first countries in the world to grant women the right to vote. This law was an important step in the fight for equality and women's rights.

In 1906, women received the right not only to vote, but also to be elected to parliament. This significant achievement in Finnish history is considered a key moment for the women's movement and women's rights in the country.
