Mawlid

Mawlid (or Mawlud) is a Muslim holiday that commemorates the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. Depending on the country and tradition, this day may also be called Mawlid al-Nabi or Milad al-Nabi. It is celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar. In the Gregorian calendar, the date varies each year.
