Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day is celebrated annually on March 23 and symbolizes the centuries-old bonds of brotherhood between Poland and Hungary. This holiday became official in 2007 after the parliaments of both countries adopted the relevant resolutions.

How is the holiday celebrated?
Cultural events - concerts, exhibitions and festivals dedicated to Polish and Hungarian culture are held in both countries.

Official meetings - delegation visits are organized at the government level to discuss and strengthen bilateral relations.

Historical excursions - visits to memorial sites associated with common history.

Holiday motto
It is believed that the friendship between Poland and Hungary is expressed in the old proverb:
"Polak, Węgier, dwa bratanki, i do szabli, i do szklanki"
(A Pole and a Hungarian are two brothers, both in battle and over a glass).
