History of the holiday
Defender of the Fatherland Day was officially established in 1992, when Kazakhstan declared its independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. This day became a symbol of the formation of the national army and marked a new era in the history of the country, when Kazakhstan began to actively develop its armed forces.
