Hari Hol Pahang, or Pahang Day, is an important celebration in the Malaysian state of Pahang, observed annually on May 22. This day is dedicated to honoring the memory of the royal family, particularly Sultan Ahmad Shah, who passed away on May 22, 2019. The date was changed in 2020 to also commemorate Sultan Abu Bakar, who died in 1974 and played a crucial role in the state's history.

On this day, the people of Pahang gather for memorial ceremonies and to recognize the historical contributions of the sultans to the development of the state. Pahang Day is also linked to the improvement of the social and economic conditions of the region, as well as the promotion of Islam, education, and culture. Under Sultan Abu Bakar's reign, important institutions like an Islamic university and the Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque were established.

The holiday was officially recognized in 1974, following the death of Sultan Abu Bakar, and since then, it has become a public holiday. Schools and government activities are typically suspended, and many people celebrate by hosting memorial feasts, visiting mosques, and spending time with their families.

Pahang Day is not only a day of remembrance but also a time to acknowledge the royal family's significant contributions to the state's prosperity, reflected in various cultural and religious ceremonies.
