Oman's National Day is celebrated on November 18. This day commemorates both the independence of the Sultanate of Oman and the birthday of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.

Sultan Qaboos, who ruled from 1970 until his death in 2020, played a pivotal role in modernizing and developing the country.
