Forest Animal Feeding Day in Poland is an ecological holiday celebrated on February 11 to help wild animals during the difficult cold season. In winter, when natural resources are depleted and access to food is difficult due to snow and low temperatures, foresters, volunteers and ecologists organize feeding of forest inhabitants such as deer, wild boars, foxes and birds.

How does the Forest Animal Feeding Day take place
Organized feeding. Feeders and feeding areas with hay, grain, root crops and other products suitable for various animal species are set up in forests.

Educational events. Lectures and master classes are held in schools and nature conservation institutions, telling about the importance of caring for wild animals and the right approach to supporting them in winter.

Volunteer events. Anyone can help collect food and even take part in delivering it to the feeders, accompanied by foresters.
