Polish Diaspora Day is celebrated in Poland every year on May 2. This day is dedicated to Poles living outside their homeland and their cultural, social and economic contribution to the development of the countries in which they live, as well as to the maintenance of Polish traditions and identity.

Main events
Ceremonies and commemorative events. On this day, events are held in Polish embassies and consulates around the world to honor Poles living abroad. Various cultural and social events are organized, such as exhibitions, concerts and meetings with representatives of the Polish diaspora.

Public events in Poland. In Poland, official ceremonies are held to express gratitude and recognize the merits of the Polish diaspora. Also on this day, solemn gatherings are held to honor the contribution of Poles to the cultural life of other countries.

Awards and honors. In honor of the Day of the Polish Diaspora, awards are given to outstanding individuals representing the Polish community abroad, as well as organizations and institutions that contribute to the development of Polish culture and strengthening ties with the homeland.
