Cavalcade of Magi
January 5, Friday
The Cavalcade of the Magi is a traditional event celebrated in some Spanish-speaking countries and regions, especially in Spain and Latin America, on the night of January 6, the feast of the Epiphany or Three Kings. This celebration symbolizes the arrival of the three wise men (Magi) from the East, who came bearing gifts to the infant Jesus.According to the Gospel texts, the wise men came from the East following a star to bring gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the newborn Jesus. The Feast of the Epiphany marks this important moment in the Christian tradition.
