A day in the Slavic folk calendar that falls on February 25 (March 10). This day honors Saint Tarasius, Patriarch of Constantinople; whose name is present in the names of the day. The name "sleepless" was given to the saint because, according to his life, he slept very little. And the main content of his day of remembrance was the prohibition of daytime and evening sleep.
