Zabaikalsky Krai Day is an annual holiday celebrated on March 1 to highlight the region's cultural and historical heritage, as well as its importance to Russia. The Zabaikalsky Krai, located in the eastern part of the country, borders Mongolia and China and has unique nature, history and culture that unite diverse traditions and ethnic groups. The holiday was established in 2014, several years after the formation of the region in 2008 as a result of the unification of the Chita Region and the Agin-Buryat Autonomous Okrug.How Zabaikalsky Krai Day is celebrated

On this day, ceremonial events are held with the participation of representatives of the regional administration, public and cultural organizations, as well as heads of municipalities.
