The Steppe Code of the Republic of Kalmykia is its constitution, the main law that determines the structure, powers and functions of state bodies, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as the features of the national and cultural autonomy of the region. This document was officially adopted on April 5, 1994.

Official events. In the capital of Kalmykia, the city of Elista, ceremonial meetings are held, at which government representatives and public figures speak.
