Objectives of International Sami Day
Raising awareness. The main goal of the day is to inform the public about the culture and traditions of the Sami people, as well as the challenges they face in the modern world.
Supporting the rights of indigenous peoples. The day serves as a platform for discussing human rights, land and resource rights, and the rights to preserve the Sami language and culture.
Preserving culture. International Sami Day aims to preserve and develop the traditional knowledge, customs and languages of the Sami people.

How is International Sami Day celebrated
