World Day for Safety and Health at Work is observed annually on 28 April and aims to raise awareness of the importance of safety and health at work. This day is organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and is intended to draw attention to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases, as well as the creation of safe and healthy working conditions for all workers.

The date of 28 April was chosen to commemorate people who have died or been injured in the workplace, as well as in honor of World Workers' Memorial Day, which is also observed on this day.
