The Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine is celebrated on February 19 and is an important event dedicated to one of the symbols of Ukrainian statehood — the coat of arms of Ukraine. The coat of arms, known as the "Trident", is an image of a trident and is the official symbol of the country's independence and sovereignty.

History of the Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Ukraine has deep historical roots and dates back to the times of Kievan Rus, when the trident was used as the coat of arms of Prince Svyatoslav Igorevich. It was officially approved as the state emblem of Ukraine in 1992, after the country declared independence in 1991.

How the holiday is celebrated
Ceremonies and rallies. On this day, official events are held, where anthems are played and wreath-laying ceremonies are held at monuments and state symbols.
