Local Industry Workers’ Day of Ukraine is a professional holiday celebrated annually on the first Sunday of June. It is dedicated to specialists and labor collectives engaged in enterprises that meet the local needs of the population.

History of the holiday
The holiday was established by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 426/2002 dated May 20, 2002. Its purpose is to recognize the contribution of local industry workers to the development of regional economies and the satisfaction of everyday needs of the population.

* municipal production of consumer goods
* raw material processing at regional enterprises
* production of building and finishing materials
