On April 16, the Orkney Islands (Scotland) celebrate the Day of St. Magnus, the patron saint of the archipelago. He was co-emperor (with Haakon Palsson) of the County of Orkney, which included Orkney and Shetland, from 1106 to 1115 or 1117.
