National Potato Chip Day is celebrated annually on March 14 in the United States. This day is dedicated to one of the most popular and beloved snacks in the world — crispy and salty potato chips.

History of Potato Chips
Potato chips are believed to have been invented in 1853 by chef George Crum in Saratoga Springs, New York. Legend has it that one of the restaurant's customers complained that the French fries were cut too thick. In response, Crum decided to cut the potatoes as thin as possible, fry them until crispy, and generously salt them. Surprisingly, the dish was popular, and the chips quickly gained popularity.
