National Handwriting Day is celebrated in the United States on January 23 and is dedicated to the art of handwriting. This holiday is intended to draw attention to the importance of handwriting in our lives, as well as the value of handwriting in the digital age.

History of the holiday
National Handwriting Day was founded in 1977 by the American Writers Association to highlight the importance of handwriting and remind people of its artistic and practical value. The holiday also coincides with the birthday of John Henry Addis, known for his beautiful and legible handwriting, as he was one of the signers of the US Declaration of Independence.

National Handwriting Day is an opportunity not only to appreciate your own writing, but also to rediscover the joy of using pen and paper in a digital world.
