National Bird Day is celebrated on January 5 in the United States and is intended to draw attention to the importance of protecting and preserving birds and their habitats. This day is dedicated not only to bird lovers, but also to anyone who cares about nature and wants to support wildlife conservation efforts.

National Bird Day was established in the early 2000s by the Avian Welfare Coalition to raise awareness of the problems faced by birds, both domestic and wild.

How to Celebrate National Bird Day
Birdwatching. Many people go out into nature on this day to watch birds and learn more about different species. This can be either an individual activity or participation in group activities.

Participation in campaigns. Various organizations and zoological gardens can hold campaigns to protect birds, including lectures, seminars, and master classes.

Support for nature conservation. On this day, people can donate to charities that protect birds and their habitats, and sign petitions aimed at protecting nature.

Educational Events: Schools and libraries can organize events aimed at educating children about the importance of protecting birds and their ecosystems.

Creating Bird Spaces: Many people can also use this day to create or install bird houses, feeders, and waterers in their yards to attract local birds.
