National Community Garden Day is celebrated in the United States every Friday before Mother's Day (the second Sunday in May). It is a day dedicated to community gardens, their role in the life of cities and communities, as well as in preserving nature and creating a healthy environment.

How it is celebrated
Open events and tours. On this day, many community gardens offer tours, master classes on gardening and ecological practices, as well as open workshops on growing plants and sustainable farming.

Volunteer events. People actively participate in volunteer events to care for community gardens, plant new plants, and clean up and restore green spaces.

Educational programs. Lectures and seminars are held in schools and communities on the importance of preserving ecosystems and the benefits of creating community gardens to improve the quality of life in the city.

Social media events. People post photos and stories of their community gardens on social media to inspire others to participate in similar projects.
