National Grand Marnier Day
July 14, Friday

National Grand Marnier Day is celebrated all over the United States on July 14. Grand Marnier is an orange-flavored liqueur made from a blend of Cognac brandy. It was created by a French named Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle in the year 1880. Grand Marnier has a variety of cocktails that can be consumed neat, mixed with other drinks, and added to desserts. This liqueur is widely used in different kinds of pastries, ice creams, and fruit cakes and is used as an ingredient in Crepes Suzette, Grand Marnier souffle, and creme brulee. It is also used to prepare cranberry sauce and Canard a l’Orange sauce.
