World Hello Day is an international holiday celebrated annually on November 21. Its name translates into Russian as World Hello Day. This day is intended to remind people of the importance of communication, mutual respect, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts through a simple act — a greeting.

History
The holiday was created in 1973 by two brothers, Brian and Michael McCormack, after a tense period in the Middle East. They decided that a symbolic gesture — saying “hello” to at least ten people — could demonstrate society’s commitment to peace and dialogue.
The brothers sent letters to leaders of different countries proposing to support the idea. Later, the holiday gained international recognition.
