International Jazz Day is celebrated annually on April 30. This day was established by UNESCO in 2011 to highlight the role of jazz as a unique cultural phenomenon that contributes to the strengthening of peace, tolerance and mutual understanding.

Goals of the holiday
Promotion of jazz. Emphasizing the cultural value of jazz as music that unites different peoples.

Dialogue and peace. Using jazz as a tool to overcome racial, ethnic and social barriers.

Education. Teaching new generations through master classes, concerts and educational programs.

How is International Jazz Day celebrated
Global concerts. A special concert is held annually, featuring jazz stars from all over the world. This concert is organized in different countries and broadcast live.

Educational events. Lectures and master classes on the history of jazz and its influence on world culture are held in schools, universities and cultural centers.

Jazz Festivals: Many countries organize jazz festivals, street concerts, and improv sessions.

Online Streaming: For jazz lovers who can't attend events in person, a wide range of streaming and archival recordings are available online.
